As a Test and Measurement (T&M) Operations Lead at Photonic, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of processes for laboratory test and measurement operations.
You will lead a collaborative team focused on opto-electrical-mechanical testing, working closely with engineers, scientists, and other technical team members to design, prototype, assemble, test, and deploy innovative solutions.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
- Process Development : Design and execute efficient testing processes, including creating standard operating procedures and necessary tooling.
- Performance Improvement : Enhance the reliability and performance of test and measurement support operations through continuous process improvement.
- Workload Management : Estimate and balance team workload, providing decision support data and reports to the project management office.
- Training and Implementation : Author and implement procedures and skills training for team members to ensure safe operational execution.
- Tool Design : Design automated test tools and apparatus for use by the broader team, ensuring they meet operational requirements.
- Technical Documentation : Create technical publications detailing the manufacture, assembly, and operation of new tools, apparatus, and assemblies.
- Operational Communication : Document and communicate T&M systems' operational status, deficiencies, and maintenance needs to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify and prioritize opportunities for process standardization and refinement within the (T&M) Operations Team.
- Collaboration : Work with Quantum Processors to standardize processes and with Hardware Systems to refine design requirements that enhance operational efficiency.
WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a commercial or academic lab environment.
- Familiarity with cryogenic systems.
- Familiarity with lasers and fiber optic componentry
- Experience with opto-mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines.
