Randstad is excited to partner with a leading Engineering Firm in Kitchener in their search for a Design Engineer across Land Development.
The Design Engineer will grow an established team and have the opportunity to grow and develop internally. This role will be responsible for designing and coordinating in the areas of planning, execution and delivery of complex land and site development projects.
This position requires someone with their P.Eng.

Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate project information using engineering skills and critical thinking
- Engineering design and analysis (storm and sanitary design, water distribution system
design, storm water management facility modeling and design, road design, grading design,
subdivision design, site design etc.)
- Convey design information to CAD team
- Technical report preparation
- Complete design calculations based on engineering principles, meeting applicable regulatory codes and standards
- Communicate with project managers, clients and consultants to ensure design will work within the overall scope of the project.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering
- 4+ years’ experience (preferably in a consulting firm)
- Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.)
- Knowledge of engineering principals, applicable government technical standards and legislative
regulations
Excellent technical report writing skills, verbal and written communication skills
