We are currently seeking aHabitat Restoration Forester / Forest Technologist to join our teambased out of our Whitecourt office.
Thisis a fulltime permanent position that is focused on ecologicalinventory site assessments and restorations. This positionstrategically leverages a vast amount of ecological spatial fielddata to implement restoration plans for regulatory compliance atthe landscape level.
Project work is rewarding team based safetydriven and is completed for the energy and forest sectorsthroughout the province.

PositionAccountabilities
- Thisposition is accountable for safe and efficient projectwork;
- Manageproject deliverables and working relationships with Woodlands peersmanagement andclients;
- Initiatedevelop and execute continuous improvement initiatives and bestpractices;
- Assistthe Operation Manager with the scheduling and management ofprojects.
PositionRequirements andQualifications
- Experiencewith construction environmental oversight road building and culvertinstallations;
- Experience in roadwaywatercourse crossing assessments andrestorations;
- Knowledgeof timber vegetation wetlands watercourses wildlife and soils datacollection;
- Knowledgeablein current restoration best management practices for terrestrialhabitat restoration of linear features such as legacy roads andseismic for caribou habitatrestoration;
- UniversityDegree or technical diploma is required inForestry;
- Professionalregistration or eligibility in one of Alberta s ProfessionalRegulatoryOrganizations;
- Minimumexperience of 5years;
- Stronganalytical and reportingskills;
- Abilityto maintain a valid class 5 driver s license with a cleanabstract;
- Abilityto move a variety of initiatives forward at the sametime;
- Abilityto demonstrate a safety and customer servicefocus.
