Job Description :

We are primarily looking for someone who can come in tolearn the environment and as trained lean into project support.

This will includescope build list design installation configuration and support ofnetwork switches / routes / firewalls / IPSIDS / Proxy / F5

Seeking CCNA certified networkengineer willing to be on site as much as required at either our CTor RI locations.

Solid Experience is acceptable in lieu of CCNA; howeverif interested in a full time position we would require it uponconversion.

WIllneed familiarity with Project work design and implementation ofsolutions created and supported by our own team.

Analyzes complex local and widearea network systems including planning designing evaluatingselecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuringcommunication media with concentrators bridges and other devices.

Resolves difficultinteroperability problems to obtain operation across all platformsincluding email files transfer multimedia teleconferencing and thelike.

Configures systems to user environments.

Supports acquisition of hardwareand software as well as subcontractor services.

Applies extensive technicalexpertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.

Develops technicalsolutions to complex problems requiring the regular use ofingenuity and creativity.

Work is performed without appreciable direction.

Exercisesconsiderable latitude in determining technical objectives ofassignment.

Completed work is reviewed from a relatively longtermperspective for desired results.

Guides the successful completion of majorprograms and may function in a project leadership role.

Erroneous decisionsor recommendations would typically result in failure to achievemajor organizational objectives.

Represents the organization as the primetechnical contact on contracts and projects.

Interacts with senior internaland external personnel on significant technical maters oftenrequiring coordination between organizations.

May provide work leadership forlower level employees.

Key Responsibilities :

Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 support andassists with some project implementation within the networkingenvironment.

Successful provisioning as well as supervision ofinstallation / configuration operation and maintenance of systemshardware software and related infrastructure.

This also includes theInstallation of new systems rebuilding existing systemsconfiguration of hardware peripherals services settings directoriesstorage etc.

in accordance with customer / government standards.

Configurationmanagement of Local Area Networks (LANs) Wide Area Networks (WANs)network segments and Internet and Intranet systems to ensureoperability.

Installation and maintenance network hardware andsoftware analyze problems and monitor networks to ensure theiravailability to users.

Maintains monitors and troubleshoots within the roles ofIncident Management (ReturntoService) and / or Problem Management(Reason for Outage).

Evaluates a systems performance and identifies userneeds based on approved software per customer specifications.

Supports acquisitionof hardware and software as well as subcontractor services asneeded.

Worksindependently on specific projects or may act as lead or ProjectManager or a technical consultant where experience and knowledgespan multiple projects.

Ensures all design decisions are evaluated analyticallyand in a systematic manner in accordance with approved technicalapproaches processes and procedures.

May provide supervision and guidance for oneor more team members including task and work product deliverables.

Works closely withnetwork operations systems and other groups on business projectsassignments problems etc.

Develops advanced technological ideas and guides theirdevelopment to a final product or solution.

Ensures proper documentation forthe corporate knowledgebase including design procedural and lessonslearned.

This alsoincludes maintaining and updating existing documentation.

Monitors the Networkand System Enterprise with provided tools to ensure the health ofthe critical client solutions.

Maintains oncall availability to respond to networkissues and uptime; must be flexible and available with thescheduling.

Contributes to technical artifacts through team / programSharePoint and / or communities of practice
