We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our client, an innovative transit technology solutions organization, in their Repairs Department for an initial 3-month contract.
This position is located onsite in Mississauga, requiring attendance 5 days a week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, configuring, and testing RMA equipment for customer returns and production equipment.
The Technician will also update and maintain the Failure Analysis Record and Configuration Checklist.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair customer returns and production equipment
Configure and test products to meet quality standards
Ensure daily shipping requirements are met according to the Repairs Schedule Priority Report
Maintain and update Failure Analysis (FA) records and configuration checklists
Provide technical assistance to field service technicians and customers
Travel to client sites as necessary
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with company standards
Practice good inventory management
Assist with product put away and movement
Perform other warehouse duties as required
Participate in year-end physical inventory
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Technician in an Engineering / Manufacturing environment
Proficiency with IT equipment such as routers, modems, networks, and WiFi
Experience with PCB assemblies and electronic equipment assemblies
Familiarity with computer hardware and Windows operating systems; Linux OS experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of LAN / WAN configurations and the OSI Networking model
Basic Windows scripting experience
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to learn new ERP programs like Microsoft Dynamics AX
Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Strong written and oral communication skills
Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Associates Degree or Certification in Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent
