We are seeking a Senior Consultant based in our Toronto office to join our Professional Search practice. You will join a growing, collaborative team with the potential to grow your career.
Our practice focuses on a retained search model for Director-level roles and above. Addressing market demand for mid-level leadership in the private sector, Professional Search leverages Odgers Berndtson Canada’s broad expertise and resources while creating cost efficiencies for clients through diligent yet speedy execution.
Our approach balances an expedited search process with a deep understanding of client requirements, and the market for talent, to facilitate successful client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the Practice Partners and client organizations in the delivery of search mandates, including search strategy development, industry research, candidate outreach and assessment, and regular reporting.
- Develop and communicate deep functional and / or industry expertise, across a range of geographies, industries and roles.
- Develop and assess candidates while building strong relationships, interact with clients, and build substantive depth in various practices to help recruit high-performing leaders.
- Optimize client development skills with support from leadership to foster existing relationships and build strong client interactions and credibility.
Education and Experience :
- University or college graduate or commensurate experience, with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a search or talent acquisition role
- Self-starter, with the ability to plan, develop, and manage multiple projects independently and in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Natural curiosity and entrepreneurial mindset, strong business acumen, results-oriented, detail-oriented, and professional presentation.
- Strong ability to build relationships, communicate succinctly, and read nonverbal and social cues.
- Desire to build your career, with an interest in future client development and engagement responsibilities.
