OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to oversee and manage construction activities on-site for retail build-out projects.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction management, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to specifications.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors and construction crews to maintain productivity and quality standards.Conduct regular inspections and walkthroughs to monitor work progress, quality of workmanship, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
Implement and enforce safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Communicate effectively with project stakeholders including the Remote Construction Manager, clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation of all on-site activities, including progress reports, issues, and resolutions.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment needed for construction activities.Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, taking proactive measures to resolve them promptly.
RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus.Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in commercial construction, with a focus on retail build-outs.
Proven track record of successfully managing on-site construction activities and subcontractors.Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage construction teams effectively.
Familiarity with construction safety standards and regulations.Proficient in MS Office Suite and construction management software (e.
g., Procore).Preferred QualificationsOSHA 30-Hour certification or other relevant safety certifications.Experience with LEED or other sustainability practices in construction projects.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
