Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Fixed Asset and Capital Projects Accountant to join our team on a 6-month contract basis.
The primary focus of this role will be to clean up our books before we start a new build. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fixed asset accounting, project accounting for capitalization, and IFRS compliance.
This position will require a thorough review and standardization of our capital assets and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive asset review for assets valued over $5M.
- Manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) effectively, ensuring accurate componentization and standardized reporting.
- Develop and refine policies for capitalization, labor, and WIP adherence.
- Create standardized reporting using Oracle Fusion, aligning with IFRS requirements.
- Assist in auditing projects to ensure compliance and streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications
- CPA with IFRS expertise and extensive experience in fixed asset and project accounting.
- Proficient in Oracle Fusion, with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Immediate availability preferred for onsite work in Mississauga.
- Proven track record in managing large capital projects.
- Successful completion of criminal and credit checks required.
