Our client iscurrently seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to help leadtheir Maintenance team in their stateoftheart Calgary facility.
Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for assisting with theoverseeing of the maintenance operations and ensuring the smoothfunctioning of the facility.
This is a rewarding opportunity for amotivated individual with progressive experience in productionfacility maintenance.
JobResponsibilities :
- Leadthe maintenance team providing guidance and support in their dailyactivities.
- Managepreventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliabilityand minimize downtime.
- Maintain repair and overhaul production andpackaging equipment including pneumatics hydraulics DC controlsconveyors pumps fillers agitators and motors &gearbox.
- Coordinate withproduction and operations to schedule maintenance activities thatminimize disruptions to the workflow.
- Conduct regular inspections of machineryequipment and systems to identify any potential issues or areas forimprovement.
- Manage thefacilitys inventory of spare parts and equipment ensuringavailability and cost effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenanceactivities including work orders repairs and maintenancehistory.
- Monitor andcontrol maintenance budgets ensuring efficient allocation ofresources.
- Collaboratewith external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs orservices when required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safetyregulations and promote a safe working environment for allmaintenance staff.
Skills andQualifications :
- Millwright or electriciancertification.
- Strongtechnical knowledge and expertise in electrical and instrumentationsystems.
- Progressiveexperience in maintenance management in an industrial ormanufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability toeffectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problemsolving and decisionmakingabilities.
- Strongorganizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the abilityto enforce safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonalskills.
