How you'll make a difference :

• Communicate and coordinate required design, project and firm information to both internal and external parties as required
• Prepare and co-ordinate project schematic / conceptual design drawings
• Prepare layouts, sketches, and space plans required to convey design intent
• Lead, mentor, and manage the project team
• Execute knowledge in project management, budgets, schedules, and architectural standards
• Coordinate and / or undertake the preparation of required project documents, minutes, schedules, and specifications
• Apply building code and construction regulations
• Coordinate electrical, mechanical, structural, and other consultants or vendors
• Coordinate and / or undertake the selection and specification of furniture, finishes, equipment, and accessories; and preparation of FF+E documentation
• Develop and maintain quotes, budgets, project schedules, and resourcing needs
• Lead site visits and field reviews and undertake site deficiency review and installation inspections

Who you are :

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
• 10+ years of experience as an interior designerin the commercial hospitality field, with strong knowledge, creativity, and experience of the design process
• Strong understanding of branding and implementation of brand in interior design
• NCIDQ certified is an asset
• Proficient experience in Revit, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite Experience with Rhino is an asset
• A comprehensive knowledge of building codes and construction regulations
• Proven, well-rounded experience in all Interior design phases from proposal preparation to design development to construction documentation to contract administration
• Excellent communication skills, team oriented, accountable, and highly motivated
• Effective coordinator with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements
• Experience leading a multidisciplinary team, establishing deliverables, schedules, time and fee management
• Exceptional client relationship management
