WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
As a part of the Innovation, Digital, Expertise and Architecture (IDEA) team, the Business Systems Analyst will work with the Corporate Real Estate technology team and the IDEA leadership and development team.
The mandate is to help deliver digital applications that aim to aid and assist RBC employees to better interact with their workplace, and to enable smart workplace management.
The role requires taking a lead in requirement gathering and maintenance, support for change management and all governance related activities, as well as any audit and compliance requests.
The Analyst will lead meetings with stakeholders to discuss project requirements, following up on action items to ensure project objectives are achieved.
The Analyst will also coordinate and assist with testing and training.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Lead detailed requirement phases by identifying, tracking, escalating and / or resolving business systems issues
Assess, research, analyze and document sponsor / stakeholder needs in accordance with the Project Life Cycle utilizing reporting tools, and requirements.
Create or lead the development of detailed level process maps to facilitate requirements gathering, gap analysis and for training use
Work collaboratively with our business partners, stakeholders and vendors, as well as IT teams to gather accurate information for documentation and diagrams, as needed
Coordinate change management requests for bug fixes and enhancements
Manage knowledge articles for the applications supported
Back up PM and QA resources as the need arises
Support QA and testing by supporting planning, development of test cases and execution of tests
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have :
2+ years of experience with business systems analysis and software development.
Familiarity with programming and database scripting languages (Python / Java / SQL)
Experience in independently leading and facilitating requirements gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders groups
Experience with vendor managed applications
Familiarity with IT Service Management / Change Management processes in a large organization
Nice-to-have :
Experience in the banking industry
Experience on mobile application development
Strong experience working in Agile projects, using Jira, creating user stories, and overall knowledge of the Agile Framework
Familiarity with Confluence and Jira
