Description de poste

Adecco is hiring a Field Service Technician to provide mechanical services and repairs for scrubbers, burnishers, vacuums, and other related cleaning equipment for our client. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing Tennant, Pioneer, and similar industrial cleaning machines, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a 24 / 7 on-call environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose and repair industrial floor scrubbers, burnishers, vacuums, and other related equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and service schedules as assigned.
  • Provide on-call support, including scheduled weekend rotations.
  • Attend service repair calls in designated territories, with occasional travel beyond assigned areas.
  • Administer service appointments, upload reports, and ensure completion of work orders within 72 hours.
  • Plan and coordinate service routes efficiently.
  • Maintain and manage parts inventory in the assigned service vehicle, conducting periodic audits.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve work-related issues, implementing solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Train subcontractors and area managers on best practices for maintaining equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and submit service reports as required by the Manager of Mechanical Services.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Align daily tasks with the company's mission, vision, and values.
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies and industry regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and company projects.
  • Protect company assets from misuse and damage.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Job Requirements :

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair Tennant, Pioneer, and similar cleaning equipment.
  • Strong customer service skills to address client and subcontractor concerns promptly.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within designated territories, with occasional out-of-province travel.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and on-call support.
  • Skills and Qualifications :

  • Technical expertise in small engine repair and industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Experience with Tennant, Pioneer, and similar machines is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms for work order administration.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Email).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Completion of a technical trades certification or 3-5 years of experience in small equipment repair.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license preferred for in-house technicians; required for external service technicians.
