Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) / Instructor Therapist to join our team. The RBT / Instructor Therapist will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized ABA programs designed to meet the unique needs of each client.
This position requires a commitment to helping individuals with ASD reach their full potential through structured and engaging therapy sessions.
Responsibilities :
- Implement individualized ABA programs as outlined by the BCBA
- Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients using ABA techniques and principles
- Collect data on client progress and behaviour during therapy sessions
- Assist in the development of behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) as needed
- Collaborate with other members of the therapy team, including BCBA supervisors, speech therapists, and occupational therapists
- Provide feedback and support to families / caregivers on implementing ABA techniques in the home or community setting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards set forth by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and relevant regulatory bodies
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or a related field
- Current certification as a Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) issued by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes or community locations as needed
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
