On behalf of our client in Burnaby, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Analyst with our client for a contract opportunity .

Purpose :

Reporting to the IT Operations lead, the Senior Infrastructure Analyst provides technical leadership and expertise in day to day operations of Infrastructure services and is responsible to contribute to IT Architecture and Design, and Networking & Infrastructure Operations for both On-Premises and Cloud environments.

The role provides collaborative and trust-based technical expertise to a team of brilliant IT staff, broader internal, and external vendors, and customers.

This role will support the IT Operations Lead to ensure new manufacturing, industrial, and lab telecommunications implementations meet Digital Business’ stated scalability and performance objectives.

The Senior Infrastructure Analyst also plays a key role in supporting the design, road map, and standardizing operations of IT core infrastructure services to all our client's stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct day to day operations of Infrastructure core services to meet operational Service Level Agreement targets and deliver Key Performance Indicators against stated performance and risk measures.
  • Ensure that all aspects of our client's core IT solutions, monitoring capabilities, policies, procedures, and operations fulfill key objectives as defined by the overarching IT, Cyber security, and Digital Business Goals.
  • Evaluate the IT infrastructure solutions and operations and support the IT Operations Lead to proactively plan and implement enhancements to increase reliability, interoperability, scalability, adaptability of IT services.
  • Translate business requirements and support selection process for technologies for an efficient operations of core IT disciplines, including IT Architecture and Design, and Networking & Infrastructure Operations (On-premises and Cloud)
  • Participate in developing and executing an IT and Cybersecurity roadmap.
  • Explore newer trends and technology opportunities such as SASE, 5G, ZTNA, Digital Twins, Pattern Detection & Adaptive Hardening, Edge, Edge Cloud, etc.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • A graduate or undergraduate degree in a related field, or equivalent possession of 2 core IT certifications from Microsoft and networking preferably Fortinet, combined with at least 5 years relevant experience, including at least 2 years’ experience in senior technical role.
  • Significant hands on experience in Windows servers, Microsoft 365, Azure, and SharePoint operations; ideally including Azure’s ExpressRoute, Sentinel, Storage, App Service, and Monitor services;

and Microsoft’s InTune, Entra ID.

  • A robust understanding of all aspects of Corporate and Industrial IT operations, including IT / OT convergence and Hybrid On-Premises / Cloud deployments.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, strong customer service mindset.
  • A well-rounded and hands on experience with technologies used for IAM / PAM / RBAC, EDR / XDR, SDN, Global / Local Traffic Management (load balancing, etc.

SIEM, SOAR, VPN and SD-WAN, Virtualization (specially Hyper-V), Data Centers, etc., with experience analyzing and implementing IT Governance Frameworks.

  • Analyzing and implementing new systems and solutions in these areas.
  • Solid knowledge of technical architecture patterns and practices across relevant domains (infrastructure, networking, telephony, integration, distributed communications, data management, capacity planning, etc.

and the ability to converse fluently with specialists in these areas.

  • Ability to lead and / or serve as Product Owner in multiple, complex IT projects using project and change management best practices.
  • Passionate about learning, naturally curious, and great at information gathering; with an independent sense of determining what is needed, analyzing it, distilling it, and reporting back in a fact- and data-driven manner.
  • Advocacy and support of Lean Principles, and sincere, passionate belief in our client's values and business mission.
