Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for an Governance, Risk, and Compliance Coordinator who has a background in banking and audit to place at our client, a Big 5 bank.

Job Description
We're looking for a highly motivated Junior GRC Coordinator to join our team and play a critical role in streamlining processes and reducing backlogs.
Your strong communication and follow-up skills will be essential in ensuring efficient collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities
- GRC & Audit Support : Assist with various GRC and audit tasks, utilizing your prior knowledge of regulations and best practices.
- Backlog Buster : Triage and prioritize outstanding requests, taking ownership of assigned tasks to reduce backlogs and improve operational efficiency.
- Calendar & Scheduling Guru : Manage team calendars, scheduling meetings, and ensuring timely follow-up with stakeholders.
- Communication Champion : Maintain clear and concise communication with internal and external contacts, ensuring all parties are informed and on the same page.
- Banking Background Advantage : A background in the banking industry is a plus, but not essential.
- Project Management Fundamentals : Demonstrate experience with basic project management principles and task coordination.
- Microsoft Suite Pro : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
- Organizational Rockstar : Maintain meticulous records, manage multiple tasks effectively, and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent & Initiative-Driven : Take ownership of assigned tasks, identify opportunities to streamline processes, and proactively seek solutions to minimize outstanding requests.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Emerging professional with 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or coordinator role.
- Prior exposure to GRC principles and audit processes is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a desire to contribute to a dynamic team.
