We are excited to expand our team and are currently seeking a Senior Manager - Assurance to join our offices in Vancouver, Surrey, or Sechelt.

The Role :
- Effectively plan, schedule, and coordinate audit and assurance engagements to ensure successful execution in accordance with firm methodologies, guidance, and professional standards
- Analyze complex and specialized accounting issues
- Monitor engagement timelines against goals and objectives, liaising with the Engagement Partner and clients on engagement status to ensure clarity throughout the process and manage the production of quality deliverables on time and within scope and budget
- Under the direction of a Partner, deliver industry and technical expertise through client interactions, written reports, technical work, and training materials
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met and that relationships and accounts grow and develop
- Liaise with clients on matters related to billing and collections
- Identify cross-service line opportunities and develop an awareness of how to scope or scale services to the client
- Participate in the development and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs
- Represent at networking events and seek interactions that could lead to potential opportunities
- Facilitate positive internal and external business connections to develop relationships and effectively manage teams
- Provide guidance and training to staff to enhance their career development with the firm
What You Will Bring :
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in public accounting
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO), Canadian Auditing Standards, and Canadian Standards on Review Engagements
- Knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is considered an asset
- Enjoys the challenge of identifying and resolving complex issues related to financial reporting requirements and the research and discussion that stem from them
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Experienced leader with strong team-building and coaching skills
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software such as Caseware, Taxprep, Quickbooks, and Simply Accounting, as well as with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
