Senior Interior Designer - Private Residential Projects

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Interior Designer to lead high-end residential projects, manage the design team, and play a key role in shaping the creative direction of the firm.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial concept through final installation while contributing to our firm’s growing portfolio of exceptional residential interiors.

Key Responsibilities :

Design Leadership :

• Contribute to the creative development of design concepts, ensuring alignment with the client’s vision and project goals.
• Oversee the creation of design presentations, material selections, sketches, and 3D renderings.
• Develop detailed design documentation, including furniture layouts, custom millwork, and finishes specifications.
• Maintain a consistent design language across projects, while pushing for innovation and creativity.

Project Management :

• Manage high-end residential projects from initial client consultation through to final installation, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
• Oversee all aspects of the design process, from concept development and sourcing to construction oversight and final styling.
• Lead site visits and manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and trades to ensure project success.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues, ensuring the design vision is maintained.

Client Engagement :

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
• Conduct client meetings, present design concepts, and provide expert guidance throughout the project.
• Ensure client expectations are met and exceeded by delivering exceptional design solutions and service.

Team Collaboration & Leadership :

• Mentor and guide junior and intermediate designers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Provide leadership in design discussions, offering insights and feedback to enhance the overall project outcomes.
• Ensure that design team members adhere to project timelines and deliverables.

Purchasing & Sourcing :

• Lead the sourcing and procurement of furniture, fixtures, materials, and accessories.
• Work with vendors to negotiate pricing, track orders, and manage deliveries.
• Ensure all purchases align with project budgets and are properly documented and cross-referenced with invoices.

Qualifications :

• Five + years of experience in residential interior design, with a focus on high-end custom homes.
• Strong portfolio showcasing luxury residential projects and a sophisticated design sensibility.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp is preferred.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-level projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with a client-focused approach.
• A passion for creating beautifully crafted, functional spaces that reflect each client’s unique lifestyle.
• Access to a Car and valid Driver’s License
