Job Summary :
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical failures on production equipment.
Rebuild Hydraulic components including valves and pumps. Install hydraulic hoses and piping.
Travel to perform emergency service calls as necessary. Fill out repair orders and time sheets
in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities :
Your supervisor may from time to time ask you to perform other related duties not specifically included in this job description. This job's key responsibilities include :
- Reporting : Receive daily direction from Team Leader, Acquire necessary materials for assigned task through machining and / or assembly to specifications or instructions within the assigned time frame.
- Travel : Periodically travel to local and out of province / country locations to assist in repair, start-up or disassembly of machines, Properly document and maintain expenses for travel
- Repair and Calibration : Performs repairs on fixtures as needed, including replacing damaged components, adjusting alignment, and recalibrating equipment to maintain accuracy and functionality.
- Optimization : Collaborates with engineering and production teams to optimize fixture designs and processes for improved efficiency, quality, and safety. This may involve making modifications to existing fixtures or developing new fixtures to meet evolving manufacturing requirements.
- Documentation : Maintains detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and calibration procedures. This documentation helps ensure compliance with quality standards, facilitates troubleshooting efforts, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Ensures machine is ready for dry cycle testing and documented. Notify supervisor throughout this process and also when complete.
