We have an opportunity in our Toronto office for a Senior Interior Designer to join our team. We are looking for a talented Interior Designer who shares a passion for creating innovative workplace spaces for clients as well as projects in the hospitality, commercial, and healthcare sectors.
Our Toronto office has delivered numerous exciting projects for both public and private sector clients including Interac, SAP, Wasserman, Metrolinx, Morrison Hershfield, and Boston Scientific.
As a Senior Interior Designer at Kasian, you will :
- Manage the interior design component of concurrent projects
- Provide effective leadership and take responsibility for all aspects of the delivery of projects including coordination of design, production, contract administration, and financial success
- Develop innovative design concepts which are practical, aesthetically appealing, and meet functional goals within the project budget;
provide design direction
- Partner with clients through the strategic planning, client programming, and needs analysis phases
- Perform quality control for all project presentation outputs and documentation
- Be actively involved with consultants with respect to procurement, coordination, and management
- Build and maintain successful client relationships
- Work alongside Principals and Associates on business development, including attending interviews and RFP responses
- Lead, coach, and mentor junior and intermediate staff
Here’s what you bring to Kasian :
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive commercial interior design experience
- CIDA-accredited Degree in Interior Design and registration as an Interior Design with ARIDO
- Experience managing interior design projects, start to finish
- Conceptual design expertise, strong technical knowledge, knowledge of furniture systems and construction administration experience
- Proven leadership skills, including design leadership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Design excellence and design leadership skills
- Proficiency in Revit, Sketch-Up, and Adobe Creative Suite
