Job description
The Senior IT Procurement Manager, Sourcing is a critical leadership role within our Global Procurement team, focused on driving high-value sourcing decisions, supplier consolidation, and significant cost-savings initiatives. Working closely with the Sourcing Execution leadership, you will proactively develop negotiation and contract strategies for high-risk, complex, and sensitive technology initiatives. You will act as a trusted business partner to senior management, gathering and analyzing data to create strategic playbooks that optimize the total value generated from our global supplier base.

Work Environment
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime may be required based on business needs).

Location: Hybrid (Toronto-based). 4 days onsite (including at least one Monday or Friday) and 1 day remote.

Advantages
High-Impact Visibility: Lead enterprise-wide initiatives and influence decisions on complex deals with a total contract value exceeding $5M.

Collaborative Culture: Join a supportive, global team of over 20 professionals that values approachable leadership and professional development.

Strategic Growth: Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology categories, including AI-driven solutions and high-risk global sourcing projects.

Prime Location: Based in the heart of Toronto at 181 Bay Street within a modern, hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities
End-to-End Strategic Sourcing & Execution
- Deal Leadership: Lead the end-to-end sourcing process for complex, high-visibility technology deals with a Total Contract Value (TCV) exceeding $5M, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide financial objectives.

- Negotiation Strategy: Independently coordinate and conduct sophisticated commercial and legal negotiations; develop methodologies to capture savings and manage value-driven outcomes.

- Contract Authoring: Draft, review, and edit complex supplier contracts and amendments, ensuring all legal and business terms protect the organization’s interests while minimizing risk.

- Proposal Evaluation: Manage the full RFP (Request for Proposal) lifecycle, including the development of evaluation criteria, scoring models, and final vendor selection recommendations for senior leadership.

Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence
- Category Playbooks: Gather and analyze internal spend data and external market intelligence to create strategic "playbooks" for various technology business models (SaaS, Cloud, AI, Professional Services).

- Opportunity Assessment: Proactively identify and prioritize sourcing opportunities through deep-dive spend analysis and knowledge of upcoming business unit needs.

- Market Research: Monitor global supply market conditions and industry trends to advise senior management on potential risks, alternative suppliers, and disruptive technologies (e.g., AI providers).

Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Executive Influence: Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and business partners, guiding them through high-risk sourcing initiatives and securing buy-in for contentious or complex decisions.

- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key technology vendors, holding them accountable to KPIs and service levels while driving continuous improvement.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams (Legal, Risk, Finance, IT) to ensure sourcing activities are integrated and compliant with all corporate standards.

Governance, Risk, and Financial Oversight
- Financial Accountability: Deliver on individual cost-reduction targets of $5M and contribute to team-wide savings goals of $25M through rigorous negotiation and demand management.

- Risk Mitigation: Support the development and adherence to financial, fraud-prevention, and risk management controls throughout the procurement lifecycle.

- KPI Reporting: Analyze and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive insights into business trends, measuring the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and supplier performance.

Leadership and Continuous Improvement
- Mentorship: Provide coaching and professional development to junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with the global leadership model.

- Process Excellence: Contribute to the development of standardized global tools, templates, and best practices to improve procurement efficiency and standardization.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 10 years of dedicated procurement sourcing experience (specifically sourcing, not general purchasing).

Domain Expertise: At least 5 years of specialized experience in Technology Sourcing with a proven track record of leading deals over $5M TCV.

Technical Skills: Mastery of Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential; experience with Ivalua is a strong asset.

Education: Post-secondary degree in Finance or a related field; a formal Procurement Designation is highly preferred.

Soft Skills: Exceptional impact and influence, strong business/financial acumen, and the ability to negotiate complex legal and commercial terms independently.

Summary
If you are a highly skilled and experienced sourcing professional with a passion for technology and a proven track record of success, we encourage you to apply. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading global organization and make a significant contribution to their procurement function. Please reach out with subject line
