Reporting to the Project Manager, The Procurement Specialist will oversee and manage the procurement process for our infrastructure engineering projects.

What you will be working on :

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identify potential suppliers, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring best value for money.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly.
  • Monitor supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to procurement activities.

What we are looking for :

  • post-secondary education, such as a degree or diploma in a related field, and / or relevant combination of experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the infrastructure industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that support business objectives.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to procurement activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
