Reporting to the Accounting Director, the Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a key steward of financial integrity, leading complex reporting and cost analysis in a high-growth, hands-on environment. This position is designed for an analytical "detective" who wants to influence operational efficiency and the long-term financial roadmap.

Advantages
Impactful Growth: Be a core part of a scaling manufacturing company with a forward-thinking culture.
High Visibility: Work cross-functionally with operations and leadership to drive real-time business decisions.
Innovation & Autonomy: A supportive environment where you are encouraged to lead process improvements and automation.
Total Rewards: Competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.
Career Trajectory: A clear path for development toward future finance leadership roles.

Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements, notes, and supporting schedules in compliance with ASPE.
- Perform variance analysis, rate of return calculations, and profitability studies to support executive decision-making.
- Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting through detailed reporting and analysis.
- Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and complex account reconciliations.
- Maintain comprehensive working papers and close schedules to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for financial system upgrades, conducting testing, validating data, and documenting new processes.
- Recommend and implement improvements to system-generated reports to meet evolving data requirements.
- Drive operational excellence by drafting and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and "desk guides."
Participate in divisional initiatives and special projects, ensuring deliverables meet established timelines.
Provide functional guidance, advice, and training to junior Financial Analysts.
Ensure corporate document filing meets prescribed standards and assist the Director of Accounting with ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications
- CPA designation or actively pursuing (Senior CPA candidate) is required.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, with a heavy emphasis on manufacturing and cost accounting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ASPE, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis.
- Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., AS400, Microsoft 365 Business Central) and Advanced Excel (data modeling, Power Query, complex formulas).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance partners

Summary
This is an exceptional opportunity for a financial professional ready to take on a high-impact role in a growing company. If you're based in Cornwall—or open to relocating—and ready for the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you.
