About the Job:Our team is growing, and Marcon Metalfab (www.marconmetal.com) is hiring a Robot Welding Operator to join our dynamic team based in Delta’s Tilbury Park.

Position Details:

• Shift: Weekend Shift.
• Friday to Sunday (12-hour shifts).
• 5:15 AM to 5:45 PM (includes an additional 4 paid hours to reach 40/week).
• Pay: $28 - $34 (based on experience).

Responsibilities:

• Robotically weld parts together according to drawings and specifications.
• Responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and monitoring robotic welders, and set up of robotic welders.
• Debugging, programming, and path editing, repairing and replacing damaged components such as weld guns, and electrodes, troubleshooting, and developing root cause analysis of machine and welder issues.
• Ensure all tasks are performed in the allotted time.
• Inspection of all welds to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Assure that 1st off/1st part is inspected and meets Quality Assurance requirements.
• Able to read and interpret the shop manufacturing drawings.
• Basic maintenance of Welding and Set-up equipment in addition to ensuring gas and wire as required for the following shift.
• Other reasonable tasks and duties, as required.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with robot welding.
• Experience in maintaining robotic weld cells (programming and setting up an asset).
• Experience in the use of tape measures, vernier caliper, and other measuring tools.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet while using tools to perform repetitive tasks.
• Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to understand complex instructions, how schematics work, and make sure items are designed and built correctly.
• Strong problem-solving skills - understand why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.
• Ability to work both independently and with supervision.
