Instrumentation Technician

Schedule : Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)
YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician will support the mill’s continuous improvement efforts through construction projects and general preventative maintenance.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- ü Troubleshoot and repair process control instrumentation;
- ü Regular predictive / preventative maintenance;
- ü Servicing of control valves, emission monitors and kraft pulp analyzers;
- ü Use computer diagnostics and testing to monitor, measure and troubleshoot processes;
ü Clean and perform routine maintenance work.

- ü Ability to manage time and multi-task to accomplish a variety of assignments with conflicting priorities and deadlines;
- ü Confident written and oral communicator;

- ü Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands;
- ü Detail oriented;

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
üBC Journeyperson and / or Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Instrumentation & Control Technician Certification
- ü 3-5 years of experience working in a safety sensitive industrial work environment;
- ü Strong computer system aptitude and experience working with various types of software including Microsoft Office Suite and a computerized maintenance system (i.e. SAP);
ü Possessing a dual ticket qualification in Electrical and / or HVAC in addition would be an asset.
