Instrumentation Technician

Schedule : Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician will support the mill’s continuous improvement efforts through construction projects and general preventative maintenance.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• ü Troubleshoot and repair process control instrumentation;
• ü Regular predictive / preventative maintenance;
• ü Servicing of control valves, emission monitors and kraft pulp analyzers;
• ü Use computer diagnostics and testing to monitor, measure and troubleshoot processes;

ü Clean and perform routine maintenance work.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

üBC Journeyperson and / or Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Instrumentation & Control Technician Certification

• ü 3-5 years of experience working in a safety sensitive industrial work environment;
• ü Strong computer system aptitude and experience working with various types of software including Microsoft Office Suite and a computerized maintenance system (i.e. SAP);

ü Possessing a dual ticket qualification in Electrical and / or HVAC in addition would be an asset.
