Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Group Controller, your duties and responsibilities will include the following;
- Take the helm in orchestrating our month-end closing procedures, ensuring our financial reports not only depict accuracy but also encapsulate the essence of our business.
- Craft and refine our budgeting and forecasting strategies to keep us ahead of the curve and in tune with market dynamics.
- Spearhead pricing adjustments and standard costing rate maintenance, fortifying the foundation of our financial operations.
- Meticulously oversee our general ledger entries and balance sheet reconciliations, leaving no stone unturned in pursuit of financial integrity.
- Champion compliance with T2 tax filing schedules and mandatory reports, safeguarding our regulatory standing.
- Immerse yourself in labour transactions, conducting thorough analyses to optimize resource allocation and streamline departmental expenses.
- Forge robust alliances with our operations team, gaining invaluable insights to drive collaborative success.
- Serve as the vanguard of our internal financial controls, ensuring they are not only effective but also adaptive to our evolving needs.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process enhancement and operational efficiency, seamlessly connecting the dots between financial strategy and operational execution.
Qualifications
- Possess 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrate fluency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, showcasing prowess in pivot tables, data analysis, and formulaic wizardry.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills, adept at conveying complex financial insights with clarity and precision.
- Showcase a talent for prioritization and self-direction, ensuring no detail escapes your discerning eye.
- Leverage your expertise in project accounting and the percentage of completion method, demonstrating a holistic understanding of financial dynamics.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in inventory analysis and reconciliation, leveraging every opportunity to optimize resource allocation.
