Our client based out of Montreal, QC is looking to add experienced and mechanically inclined plate saw machine operators to their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operates multiple-circular-saw machine that automatically cuts Aluminum / Steel plates.
- Measures sample panels for conformance to specified dimensions.
- Inspects cut edge for indications of dulled saw blades.
- Readjusts or replaces blades.
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB :
- Minimum two years experience in similar role.
- Technical knowledge, training or experience, setting up equipment and controls in manufacturing environment. Computer knowledge of numerical control equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings is a must.
- Problem solving skills and able to calculate and read fractions of an inch.
- Communication skills (English, written and verbal).
- Physically fit.
- Ability to operate multiple-circular saw machines.
- WHMIS & Knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Understanding of fractions and decimals and measurements is a must.
- Must be able to relocate, if required.
