Full-time
- Lead and supervise the preparation of capital calls and communicate with the investors
- Lead and supervise advanced level financial statement packages including cost incurred to date and budget to actual variance, where applicable
- Lead and coordinate valuation of development assets with Asset Management team and investors
- Review and post journal entries, ensuring cash receipts and expense / payables are recorded in complete and accurate manner
- Review financial packages to ensure accuracy and timely delivery to internal and external stakeholders while verifying reporting requirements are consistently met
- Review property budgets and forecasting for assigned property portfolios
- Engage in new property and investor transitions as well as investor audits requests while communicating any incoming requests for additional requirements from investors to senior leadership
- Research and identify accounting issues and / or conflicts in an effort to take corrective action and minimize opportunity for problems to occur
- Oversee reconciliations for development cost reports to general ledgers
- Manage project costs and change orders on design and construction projects to ensure proper tracking on cost reports
- Work with the development team to update and review anticipated costs
- Other duties as assigned

- University degree in Finance or accounting
- Must be a CPA
- 5+ years of industry experience preferred
- Residential real estate experience preferred
- Knowledge of IFRS accounting
- A self-starter who is able to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and adheres to high standards for work quality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with good work ethic and willingness to learn
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
