What you’ll do We are looking for a new instructor to join us part-time in Fall 2024 teaching one or two of the following courses in person on our main North Vancouver campus :
- SOC 101 Concepts and Theories of Society (Tuesday and Thursday, 1 : 00-2 : 20PM)
- SOC 200 Identity, Culture, and Power in Canadian Society (Wednesday and Friday, 11 : 30AM-1 : 00PM)
- SOC 201 Social Problems in BC (Monday 11 : 30-1 : 00PM and Thursdays, 8 : 30-10 : 00AM, note : this is an asymmetrical timetable block)
There may be additional possibilities for teaching in spring and / or summer 2025. What you’ll bring Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Sociology.
A PhD in Sociology is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
We are a joint Sociology and Criminology Department, and as such we are always looking for instructors who have the potential to teach in both disciplines.
