Replacement Professor Position in Mathematics and Statistics
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Ottawa invites applications to fill one replacement professor position in probability and statistics, to begin July 1st, 2024.
Title of the position : Replacement professor
Duties : The functions of a member of the academic staff include, in varying proportions : teaching activities (six courses per year) and academic service activities.
The candidate will be expected to teach in French and English.
Terms : A 2-year contract, renewable
Wage : Salary scales for Assistant Professors start at $89,622 (as of May 2023).

Skills requirements :
- Education : Ph.D. or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
- Work experience :
We are seeking candidates with a proven track record in teaching at the undergraduate level (probability and statistics), in both official languages.
Research experience in academia and / or industry will be an asset. Experience in supervising (under)graduate students will also be an asset.
The ability of the candidate to participate in more than one of the established research groups will be viewed as an asset.
