UniFirst Canada isseeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech II to join ourUniFirst team. As a Team Partner in the Maintenance Department, youwill handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshootingof industrial equipment, systems, and components.

What you’ll bedoing :
Troubleshootsources of equipment problems through observation and use ofprecision measuring and testinginstruments.
- Assistother maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergencyrepairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair Programmable LogicControllers (PLC’s) and associated controlsystems.
- Followblueprints, schematics, operation manuals, manufacturer’sinstructions, and engineeringspecifications.
- Performboiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment system testing, recordresults in logbooks / computer systems and make necessary chemicaladjustments as required.
- Perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilersand make necessary repairs asrequired.
- Inspectmotor, belts, fluid levels, replace filters and perform othermaintenance actions in accordance with maintenanceprocedures.
- Performing basic welding activities to effect repairs onfacilities and equipment.
- Inspect,clean and lubricate shafts, bearings gears and other equipmentparts in accordance with work procedures and technicalmanual.
- Utilize aComputerized Maintenance Management System.
- Perform other duties as assigned byleadership.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for :
- Must be 18 years ofage or older with valid non-commercial drivers license and safedrivingrecord.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two-year technicaldegree in an appropriate backgroundpreferred.
- Minimum of 1 yearwork experience repairing industrial processing equipment in anindustrial environment required. Applicable military experiencewill beconsidered.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematicsrequired.
- Ability to read and understand maintenanceliterature printed in Englishrequired.
- Basic computer and Microsoft office skillsrequired.
- Experience using Hand & Power toolsrequired.
- Lockout / Tagout experiencerequired.
- Prior welding experience including MIG,TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazingpreferred.
- Experience with formalized safety programspreferred.
- Prior experience using a ComputerizedMaintenance Management Systempreferred.
- HVAC experiencepreferred.
- Boiler knowledgepreferred.
Ability to work overtime as needed isrequired.
