WORK ILLUSTRATION :
The Capital and Maintenance Program Analyst is responsible for the effective business operations associated with THESL Capital and Maintenance programs for Capital Projects.
Responsibilities include : generating reports related to the THESL Capital and Maintenance Work Programs by performing data gathering, data analysis, and identifying gaps and trends;
Identifying, developing and implementing automation / modernization of workflow processes and reports; Developing process maps, procedures and tools to ensure governance and compliance in the program delivery to assist leaders and external stakeholders in the efficient and effective management of the programs and proving support for the ongoing responsibilities of the construction group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Extract data from multiple sources, perform data validation, data analysis and create detailed reports pertaining to program delivery status and outcomes and ensures accuracy of data
- Identify opportunities, develop, and implement solutions to improve analytics and workflow automation utilizing available tools and systems (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau)
- Lead process mapping activities in support of departmental continuous improvement programs.
- Create and maintain reporting applications, forms and customized databases
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to effectively handle contractor / auditor requests, make changes through the portal swiftly
- Identify gaps and trends and perform analyses to determine root causes and develop recommended solutions.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to assist in the successful coordination and delivery of program execution
- Perform periodic analysis and monitoring of operations data for the purposes of quality assurance.
- Participate in corporate wide initiatives to support overall business strategy.
- Support the development of rate applications to the regulator including, preparation of narratives, assisting with responses to interrogatories and supporting witness preparation needs related to THESL Capital / Maintenance Execution Work Programs.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES :
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Information Technology / Computer Science
- Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in schedule development, data analysis, gap analysis, report creation, workflow automation, business process design, business intelligence, and performance management
- Experience in working with databases, implementing workflow automation solutions using Python / R, Alteryx, SQL, VBA, Tableau would be considered an asset
- Fuly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including advanced working knowledge in MS Excel, MS Access, MS Project, and MS Word
- Three (3) or more years of experience in business process redesign, analysis for business projects, identification of areas for improvement and development of new initiatives
- Additional certifications are considered an asset such as BUsiness Analyst Professional (CBAP), Six Sigma etc.
- Awareness of project / program management processes, principles and methodologies; Project Management Professional (PMP designation is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and business solution development skills, including the proven ability to function effectively in a dynamic environment
- Able to proactively flag at-risk areas of business based on analysis of data and KPIs
- Ability to develop statistical tracking methodologies to track performance and measurement against set standards of quality
- Ability to develop dependable feedback systems and tracking
- Experience with process mapping and procedure writing
- Possesses business and strategic thinking acumen
Toronto Hydro has introduced a Hybrid Work Arrangement. This position allows for remote work up to three days per week, based on business needs.
