Responsibilities
Responsibilities include :
- maintenance of regular reporting and scorecard updates.
- responding on a timely manner to data requests, answering business questions and supporting in technical support and analysis.
- maintenance of databases, reports, and applications.
- delivering regular category reviews, plans and strategies for key retail partners.
- turn insights into actions in conjunction with the Senior Category Development Manager by executing, analyzing, and evaluating category plans.
- create and develop presentations and category reviews founded on analysis to achieve category and brand goals
goals.
- mine sales and consumer / shopper data to develop valuable insights and identify opportunities.
- track performance of current category projects utilizing multiple data sources
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of work experience in Insights, sales intelligence or analytics, broad general knowledge of
the CPG industry.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, slicers, and formulas to automate and contribute to reports.
- Highly analytical, organized, and self-motivated individual with an ability to draw insights from multiple data
sources.
- Experience working with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, etc.) is an asset.
- Planograms building experience with a software such as JDA Space Planning is an asset.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint.
Summary
The Category Analyst will be responsible for the development and collection of data from multiple sources (Nielsen, IRI,
SPS, LDIA, Numerator, Retailer transaction / loyalty data, etc.) to create category scorecards, business reviews and
analysis. The Category Analyst will support the creation of best practice storytelling and be responsible for identifying
opportunities in volume, share, promotion, price, shelf space and product distribution.
