Job Description
For the past 20 years, the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation (ILOR) has been an essential actor in the literacy movement across Canada.
We connect daily with school boards, educators, students, parents, and community organizations to understand their literacy needs.
We have become well-known and well-respected education community members.
ROLE
The Foundation’s Coordinator is responsible for acting as a liaison with the Foundation’s school and non-profit stakeholders and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Foundation.
KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS
- Partner and store customer service
- Employee engagement
- Accurate reporting and tracking
- Timely donation processing
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Functional
- Liase directly with school partners to support with the implementation of ILOR programs
- Provide administrative support to the ILOR team in the form of invoice processing, donation processing, and maintenance of team shared files
- Support store teams in their partnership with schools and other ILOR granting activities
- Support the ILOR Education and Programs Specialist in overseeing all grant application processes including intake, judging coordination, ongoing tracking and data management
- Support the ILOR Education and Programs Specialist in administering partner onboarding and offboarding ensuring a smooth transition into and out of programs
- Book meetings and work with ILOR team to build agendas and draft notes
- Support tracking and management of ILOR contracts and records
- Support event planning and execution as needed

Reports to : Senior Manager, Indigo Love of Reading Foundation

Internal :
- ILOR Specialist, Senior Manager, Executive Director
- Indigo Corporate Sales
- Indigo Retail Operations and Field team
- Indigo Accounting and Finance teams
External :
- Grant partners (schools, community groups, etc.)
- Donors and supporters of the Foundation
- External vendors and consultants
Qualifications
Work Experience / Education / Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Experience in specialty retail or a retail environment considered an asset
Competencies / Skills / Attributes
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet conflicting demands and deal with time-sensitive issues.
- Self-motivated, passionate, detail-oriented, multi-tasker extraordinaire who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word); experience with other database management systems relating to granting and / or community engagement an asset
Other (travel, Bilingual, etc.)
Knowledge of French or Indigenous language(s) considered an asset
