Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is a professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a total patient care delivery model in accordance with the standards of practice and competencies of the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Regulated Health Professionals Act and Scarborough Health Network.
As a Registered Practical Nurse in the Women s and Children Program, you will be part of a health care team that promotes the birthing experience as a normal, health process and the family as an integral part of that experience.
At this time, the RPN will provide comprehensive care to Post-partum women and their newborns. In this role, you will engage in ethical conduct and provide high quality nursing care to patients and their families, based on the philosophy and conceptual framework of Nursing Practice at Scarborough Health Network.
Please note that this position is required to work shift work, weekends and holidays.
Requirements :Asset :
- Scrub Nurse experience
- Membership in RPNAO an asset
- Fetal Health Surveillance experience
- Certification in blood collection and IV s
- Ability to speak another language
