While you might not have heard of us (yet) over 36,000 accounting and audit professionals list Caseware as a skill on their LinkedIn profiles!In this role as Manager of Platform Engineering, you will oversee the integration of comprehensive security measures within our DevOps processes and throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring the delivery of secure and reliable software solutions.

A significant focus will be on utilizing GitHub and GitHub Actions to automate and secure our development workflows, alongside implementing trunk-based development practices with merge-queue for enhanced efficiency and code quality.

What you will be doing :

  • Lead the development and implementation of a robust DevSecOps strategy that aligns with our SDLC, emphasizing the use of GitHub and GitHub Actions for automation, security scanning, and CI / CD practices.
  • Champion trunk-based development practices, leveraging merge-queue in GitHub to streamline our development process, reduce integration times, and improve code quality.
  • Architect and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructures using AWS Cloud technologies, ensuring the highest standards of security and reliability.
  • Drive the integration of security practices at each stage of the SDLC, from initial design through deployment, to minimize risks and enhance security posture.
  • Mentor and lead a dynamic team of DevSecOps engineers and developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and security awareness.

What you will bring :

  • Extensive experience in DevSecOps, with a deep understanding of securing cloud-based environments, particularly through AWS Cloud services.
  • Strong expertise in GitHub and GitHub Actions for automating development workflows, with a focus on implementing trunk-based development and merge-queue strategies.
  • A solid grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience integrating security measures throughout the cycle to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of guiding and growing a high-performing team, with a commitment to fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills, proactive in identifying and addressing security challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across various technical teams and with senior management.
