The Rec Room Child Care is seeking experienced, highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled individuals to join our team as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) at our newly renovated 69 Long Branch location in Etobicoke!
At The Rec Room Child Care, we provide a warm and welcoming environment for :
- Toddlers (1.5 to 2.5 years)
- Preschool (2.5 to 4 years - up to the age children enter Kindergarten)
- Kindergarten (4 to 6 years)
- School-Age (6 to 10 years)

Requirements
- Have PR status,
- Not a student,
- Fluent in English (oral and writing)
- Looking to grow with the organization. (We are looking to open more locations, offering more opportunities for you to find a position that best fits your vision!)
Technical Training and Experience Requirements
- Have a minimum of 5 years employment experience working with children, as a RECE, in a group setting.
- Experienced in using ELECT and "How Does Learning Happen?" in Emergent Curriculum planning.
- All necessary qualifications and credentials as required by the Ministry of Education
- Membership in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (ECE's only)
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C / AED Certification
- Basic knowledge with Office Word
Requirements
- Current Certification in Standard First Aid and Infant & Child CPR (Level C) - Clear Police Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Up to date Immunization records. - Basic knowledge of : - Ontario Early Learning Framework - How Does Learning Happen?
- ELECT - Familiarity with and willingness to comply with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA, 2014) . - Completed the following online self-test training : - CCEYA Licensing Standards Self-Test (with certificate of completion) - Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps (with proof of completion) - Minimum 4 years of experience the childcare field.
