Business Development Manager, Indoor Air Quality and HVAC

Overview

Works closely with Builder, Developer, Contractor, and Dealer channels to enhance market share and drive demand through the distributor network.

Represents the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to increase brand visibility and gather insights into future industry regulations and opportunities.

Liaises with regional managers to identify and target potential clients in need of residential Indoor Air Quality and HVAC solutions and strategizing to penetrate new markets and achieve business objectives.

Collaborates with the technical team to tailor solutions to client needs. Provides management with regular updates on business development activities and market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Builder, Developer, Contractor and Dealer channels to enhance market share and drive demand through the distributor network.
  • Represents the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to bolster brand visibility and reputation, while acquiring insights into future industry regulations and rebates.
  • Liaises with regional managers to identify and target prospective clients across diverse industries seeking residential Indoor Air Quality and HVAC solutions.

Strategically plans and executes initiatives to penetrate new markets, achieve business objectives, and expand the customer base.

  • Works in partnership with the technical team to accurately assess client needs and customize Indoor Air Quality and HVAC solutions to effectively address those requirements.
  • Develops and delivers persuasive presentations, proposals, and pitches to potential clients, highlighting the benefits and value proposition of our Indoor Air Quality and HVAC products and services.
  • Regularly provides management with comprehensive reports and updates on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights.

Maintains effective communication with Business Managers to accurately forecast demand based on confirmed activities and projected run rates.

Conducts thorough market research to remain informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.

Continuously evaluates and refines business development strategies to enhance effectiveness and return on investment.

Qualifications

  • College or University Degree - 3- or 4-Year Bachelor Level in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent.
  • 7 to 10 years related work experience in Business development, including prospecting, and new account development.
  • Maintains appropriate industry associations.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, CRM and Presentation Software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to select solutions from various options.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport, influence and negotiate.
