Calgary, Alberta T2C 4R6) . In the role of a Recruiter, you will be responsible for identifying hiring needs, designing job descriptions, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews, filing paperwork and keeping abreast of employment law and legislation.
The successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, is organized, detail-oriented and remains up to date with industry trends.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI) : TALENT SOURCING & ACQUISITION (Weighting 40%) Recruitment & Candidate Discovery Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent.
Utilize various recruitment channels including job boards, social media, career fairs, and networking events to source candidates.
Manage candidates through the ATS (JazzHR). Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential candidates for current and future job openings.
Take ownership of the candidate experience by designing and managing job postings, descriptions, and position requirement.
CANDIDATE SCREENING & INTERVIEWING (Weighting 30%) Prospect Assessment & Selection Conduct initial phone screenings, behavioural assessments, and interviews to assess candidate qualifications, skills and cultural fit.
Document findings and provide to the hiring team. Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring manager, ensuring a smooth and efficient interview process.
Administer and evaluate various pre-employment assessments as necessary. HIRING & ONBOARDING (Weighting 20%) Employee Engagement & Orientation Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and preferences.
Extend job offers, negotiate terms, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires (employees and contractors).
Conduct reference checks as part of the pre-employment process. RECRUITMENT METRICS & REPORTING (Weighting 10%) Hiring Analytics & Insights Track and analyze recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare and present regular reports on recruitment activities, candidate pipeline and hiring outcomes to senior management.
Ensure compliance with legal and company-specific hiring practices and policies. QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition. Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment laws.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
