As a Data Project Manager on Pomerleau's Innovation team, you'll play a key role in managing and coordinating data projects from inception to completion.
Supporting large-scale construction projects - ranging from $ million to over $1 billion - you will be responsible for motivating the team to achieve objectives, acting as an intermediary between the data team and other stakeholders, and preparing project proposals.
What You Will Do
- Provide in-depth knowledge of the data project lifecycle, including the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects.
- Facilitate information governance initiatives.
- Apply a rigorous approach that ensures high-quality results. Deliver completed, high quality data products to customers and conduct regular audits of adoption and quality.
- Work closely with other staff members, such as internal customers, other project managers, developers, UX designers, analysts, communications professionals, etc.
- Ensure rigorous project management at both operational and project management levels; manage meetings, organize, and lead governance (sprint, meetings, etc.
provide visibility on the progress of deliverables, keep documentation up to date at all times, etc.
- Ensure rigorous resource management, in terms of budget, collaboration with other departments, etc.
- Develop partnerships with various departments and project stakeholders to ensure the success of initiatives.
- Assist customers by identifying needs, facilitating communication with the team and organizing events on request.
- Contribute to the organization by implementing changes to increase team productivity, collaborating with other project managers, and communicating deployed and in-development initiatives internally.
- Communicate initiatives deployed and under development internally regarding changes, milestones achieved and other relevant information.
This role could be for you if you have
- 5-7 years experience in project management.
- Experience in managing data and process improvement projects (; PMP, PMI, six sigma).
- Good knowledge of IT tools and software required to perform the job.
- Experience in data engineering, archiving and / or the legal field (an asset).
- Knowledge of the construction industry an asset.
- Perfect command of French and very good command of English.
- Must be available for occasional travel to our various offices.
