Security Guard (Healthcare) - Fort St. James (Casual, Part -time & Full-time)
Job Title : Health Care Security Officer
Location : Ft. St. James Hospital
Wage : $26.75 per hour
Shifts : Days, Evenings, Overnights

Are you calm under pressure, committed to helping others, and ready to deliver outstanding customer service? As a Health Care Security Officer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
What You’ll Do
- Perform regular patrols of the facility, ensuring only authorized access to secure areas
- Monitor the Emergency Department, focusing on access control for patient and staff safety
- Screen individuals entering the department by asking questions to verify the legitimacy of their visit
- Greet patients and visitors with questions like Where are you headed today? or Are you here to visit a doctor?
- Notify on-site security immediately in the case of emergencies
- Assist with patient watch duties as needed
- Report incidents involving potential violence or aggression to the Manager promptly

- Hold a valid BC Security License
- Are physically fit for daily interior and exterior patrols
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly smile
