Toronto based Building Restoration / General Contracting company is seeking a motivated team player to fulfill the role of Estimator / Project Manager who will work closely with upper management, Project Managers and Estimating Department to prepare takeoffs for various industrial, commercial and, institutional restoration projects.
Tasks :
Manage scheduling deadlines, prepare tenders and request for proposals
Analyze scope of work requirements for each project
Review specifications and identify finish schedules of open tenders
Assist with preparing quantity takeoffs and costing, pricing of work and material and tender preparation
Participate in field visits and pre-tender meetings
Reviewing and understanding contract documents
Collect all pertinent data and information for each job to be quoted
Preparing, issuing, receiving and reviewing supplier and subcontractor proposals and pricing
Liaise with general contractors, project managers and suppliers
Assist internally with the team with bid awards to confirm specifications and material quantities
File and organize internal project documents
Requirements :
Must be able to read and navigate through construction drawings (i.e. Architectural, Structural,)
3+ years background experience in construction
Extremely detailed and highly organized
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer literacy including estimating software skills
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Plan Swift is a bonus
Must have Valid G Licence and provide a Drivers Abstract.
Ability to obtain a security clearance for Federal & Provincial Sites
Job Type : Full-time
Salary : From $55,000.00 - $80,000 per year based on experience
Schedule :
- 8 hour shift In office ( this is not a work from home position )
- Monday to Friday
Experience :
- Construction : 3 year (required)
- Blueprint reading : 2 year (required)
