Job Description

The opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Head of Participant Outcomes to drive our commitment to enhancing participant relationships and improving retirement readiness.

This pivotal position involves leading a team of retirement participant education experts and communication consultants to establish John Hancock Retirement as a leader in empowering individuals to save and invest for a secure retirement.

The successful candidate will collaborate with key internal partners across various divisions to develop and implement integrated, market-leading solutions.

Responsibilities :

Communicating and implementing the business’ strategic vision, plan, operating model and success criteria for how to drive measurable participant outcomes.

Participate in the execution of US participant engagement, outcomes, rollover and experience.

Partner with Global Retirement, PI (specific focus with PFS) and others in broader Manulife organizations to advance programs, processes and campaigns related to US plan participants.

Attract, develop, promote and retain top, diverse talent in US Retirement and more broadly the Manulife organization.

Provide leadership to retirement professionals in the Participant Outcomes function

Optimize resources, budget and innovations to drive continuous improvement and efficacy.

Develop and maintain an external presence as an inspiring leader by attending, presenting and delivering thought leadership insights related to retirement plan participants.

By partnering with Financial Advisors, TPAs and Plan Sponsors(Employers), you will help close the almost $4T retirement savings gap in the U.

S. and better the lives of the 3.5m participants we serve in their later years.

Delivering innovative participant programs that drive real outcomes, you will help our business grow and win in the marketplace.

Leading a team of dedicated professional, you will mentor and develop top, diverse talent to create a collaborative, rewarding culture for the team.

What we are looking for

10 years+ experience in Retirement and Wealth Management industry with driving participant actions and outcomes.

10 years+ experience in people leadership with demonstrated ability to attract, develop, promote and retain top diverse talent.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Public speaking and keynote presentation experience.

Effective people and project leadership.

Salary & Benefits

Salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education / training.

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
