We are seeking a Casual Ambulatory Surgical Nurse to join our team! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients.

Responsibilities :

Administer nursing care to ambulatory surgical patients doing surgeries with plastic surgery, dermatology, urology and oculoplastics.

Generally done under local.

• Monitor patients in post op recovery after surgery.
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Be able to work casually weekdays and later afternoons (till 7 pm) and weekends (Saturdays) occasionally.
• Start IVs and monitor patients receiving IV iron treatment.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
• Familiarity with medical software (Accuro) and equipment an asset
• BLS certification
• ACLS recommended
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
