We are seeking a Casual Ambulatory Surgical Nurse to join our team! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients.
Responsibilities :
Administer nursing care to ambulatory surgical patients doing surgeries with plastic surgery, dermatology, urology and oculoplastics.
Generally done under local.
- Monitor patients in post op recovery after surgery.
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Be able to work casually weekdays and later afternoons (till 7 pm) and weekends (Saturdays) occasionally.
- Start IVs and monitor patients receiving IV iron treatment.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Familiarity with medical software (Accuro) and equipment an asset
- BLS certification
- ACLS recommended
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
