Associate Lawyer
Singer Katz LLP is seeking an associate lawyer to join our collegial firm. We are looking for a caring, energetic, and personable lawyer to work directly with the firm’s senior partners.
The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience as a lawyer in personal injury law including tort and accident benefits.
Experience
Ideal candidates will have :
- Excellent writing skills,
- Strong legal research abilities,
- Conducted Examinations for Discovery,
- Attended Motions,
- Drafted Mediation and Pretrial Memoranda
- Eager to learn
- Self motivated and self sufficient
- Organization skills
- Licensed to practice Law in Ontario for at least 12 months.
Job Duties
Under the direction of the senior lawyers, the candidate will handle all aspects of personal injury files, including motor vehicle (tort and AB), long-term disability, property loss and employment claims.
Involvement in all stages of files including intake, drafting, researching, conducting discoveries, attending motions, negotiating, advocating at mediations and participation at trials.
