The opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications Manager to lead and execute the development and implementation of strategic communication initiatives for independent advisors across Canada on behalf of the Manulife Wealth business.
The Communications Manager will be responsible for driving impactful internal communications and enhancing the Manulife Wealth's brand presence across various internal channels.
Reporting to the Director, Investment Communications, this role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional writing and storytelling skills, along with a proven track record in building and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to effectively convey business key messages and initiatives that are engaging, informative and audience focused.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and aligned messaging across all internal communication platforms.
- Drive operational efficiencies and establish processes to enable easier compliance reviews, materials creation, and quality improvements.
- Provide marketing support as required including strategy, print collateral, and social media.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to track effectiveness and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Budget and expense tracking, monthly forecasts and accrual reporting as required.

What we are looking for
- 6+ years of communications experience in a fast-paced environment preferably in wealth management industry / dealer or related field.
- University graduate (advanced degree or certification a plus) related to journalism, communications, or marketing.
- Proven experience in a communication management role, preferably within a corporate or agency setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to craft compelling narratives and distill complex or detailed information into concise messages that resonate with and inspire action for independent advisor audiences.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to act as a liaison and influence key stakeholders across business areas and functions, generating consensus while keeping the core business objectives in mind.
- Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for driving impactful communication tactics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
Toronto, Ontario
Salary range is expected to be between
$84,375.00 CAD - $151,875.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education / training.
