Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing incoming invoices and ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient payment management.
He / she will work a hybrid schedule, telecommuting from the Montreal office.
Task and Responsibilities :
- Enter invoices received from suppliers;
- Match invoice with purchase order and receipt;
- Investigate discrepancies with the purchasing department;
- Ensure proper documentation of supporting documents;
- Participate in various continuous improvement projects;
- Identify process improvement opportunities in the accounts payable function to ensure efficiency and accuracy;
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and payments to suppliers;
- Comply at all times with health & safety and environmental policies and regulations;
- Perform any other duties related to the position that are relevant to the success of the project.
Required Qualifications :
- College diploma or professional studies in accounting;
- At least two (2) years' relevant experience;
- Bilingual (French and English), will be required to interact with the Toronto team and English-speaking suppliers.
Technical Competencies :
- Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay process control principles;
- Experience with integrated ERP software desirable (ideally SAP S / 4);
- Experience with MS Dynamics GP and Guide-TI is an asset.
