The Position
Are you motivated by the opportunity to positively impact mental health for young people in Canada? Would you be passionate about helping young people deal with the challenges of growing up in today’s complex, ever-changing, technologically driven world?
Reporting to the Information and Referral team lead, the Bilingual Resource Specialist supports young people and front-line staff by curating and validating records of in-person, digital and virtual community-based resources found on Kids Help Phone’s community resource database : which also includes the Canadian Youth Mental Health Apps database. This curated resource database provides young people with trusted referrals to resources such as shelters, emergency crisis supports, mobile apps etc. The successful candidate will use information management standards and best practices to support the development and maintenance of Canada’s largest youth mental health resource database. The Resource Specialist supports the needs of the Information and Referral team by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data.
Resource specialists also support the boarder organization through research and resource dissemination and contribute to Service Programs team within Kids Help Phone.
