Job Description

Responsible for preparing, portioning and serving meals to clients in accordance with government sanitation regulations and organization policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate in Chef Training, Culinary Management or equivalent experience in institutional, healthcare, restaurant or hospitality environment
• Current Food Handler Safety Certificate
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of quantity food production, and knowledge of sanitation and safety standards for food services area
• Knowledge of Asian cuisine and cooking style use of wok) an asset
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently as well as be a positive, contributor to the team
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings and weekends)
• Ability to converse in Chinese an asset.

• Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending.
• Exposure to heat, humidity, moisture and food waste
