Sage Recruiting is looking for a Linux Systems and Support Specialist (preferably senior level) to join a Toronto-based software company.
The role is 3 days a week in the office, and 2 days a week remote. Our client is the leading provider of cloud-based asset management tools for media assets within the Film and TV industry and they’re innovating digital content distribution with cloud storage, conversion, and delivery of high-security apps.
They have been in the business for 9 years and are trusted by huge brands like Cineplex, Netflix, Sundance Film Festival, Air Canada, Netflix, Disney and more!As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you will work with your team members in overseeing the company's fleet of distributed servers for its entire lifecycle (development, installation, and maintenance of Linux appliances) and ensure that quality is up to standards.
You will play a vital role in assisting the company's users and clients to guarantee that digital content is sent to their servers as quickly as possible.
The environment is fast-paced and you will be helping the company scale from hundreds to thousands of deployments!! You will also actively seek opportunities to implement innovative solutions and streamline operational processes for the company's growth.

Provisioning Linux storage servers, providing comprehensive installation support to installers.2. Diagnosing and resolving issues in deployed machines, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
3. Handling RMA processes for defective units, refurbishing returned devices for redeployment and performing basic computer repairs4.
Maintaining, updating and improving software running on Linux appliances, executing regular updates across the network & managing a CentOS7 upgrade path.
