Job Description
The Senior Project Manager, Construction, plays a key role in all aspects of building projects. They will work closely with consultants, trades, public officials, owner groups, as well as internal team members on all phases of the construction project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein.
Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.
Responsible for managing the construction process, inclusive of defining project scope and identifying a critical path, defining key milestones, and leading the timing of each construction stage
Prioritize, plan, and coordinate potential risks and technical challenges
Determine resources required to ensure all aspects of the project are managed appropriately.
Lead the design and coordination meetings
Liaise with partners, consultants, construction management team, building trades, building department and municipal staff
Responsible for financial monitoring of the project. Inclusive of forecasting, keeping the team informed of schedule progress, design changes and potential construction over runs
Coordinate all aspects of development and permit applications, drawings, and documents prior to permit submission
Manage consultant working drawing groups and meetings
Conduct project reviews and create / generate reporting as required
Qualifications :
Strong leadership and organizational skills with proven ability to lead and manage a project team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Excel
Demonstrated ability or aptitude analyzing drawings for site, building, and suite plans
Resilient and works well under stress and pressure to meet deadlines
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Minimum Requirements :
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Hi Rise / Multi Residential construction
A university or college degree in a related field : planning, engineering, architecture, or construction management or equivalent experience
